• a submitter’s email address;
• a complainant’s contact information;
• exact addresses or postcodes;
• precise location coordinates;
• internal review notes;
• technical information; or
• security records.

Published reports are public and may be indexed, copied or shared by search engines, social media services and other users.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• edit, crop or obscure submitted material;
• contact submitters about their reports;
• publish approved reports;
• create registration pages;
• operate Dodgy Points and leaderboards;

Dodgy Driver uses this information to operate the public reporting service.

A published registration relates to the vehicle shown or reported. It does not confirm who was driving or identify the registered keeper.

Where unnecessary personal information is visible, we may:

• obscure part of the image;
• edit the description;
• make the location less specific;
• reject the report; or
• remove an existing report.

8. Sharing information

Information may be shared with service providers that help us operate Dodgy Driver, including providers of:

We may temporarily hide the report while it is reviewed.

We will consider the available evidence, the accuracy and age of the report, the effect on the people concerned and whether continued publication remains justified.

Being connected with a vehicle does not automatically mean that an accurate and lawfully published report must be removed.

We may update this policy when the website, its features or the law changes.
